Quick Start Guide for Data Layer on the Developer Portal 🚀📈

Prerequisites:

  1. Install Keplr wallet extension from https://www.keplr.app/ to interact with the Data Layer. (we're using Cosmos blockchain for our transactions)
  2. Get the web extension of Keplr wallet for seamless integration.
  3. Reach out to our Discord community to get access to the faucet, which is exclusively available for Builders Program Members. This will provide you with dev network tokens to start your journey.

🚀 Let's Get Started:

  1. Head over to https://developer-portal.syntropynet.com/ to access the Developer Portal.

  2. Click on the "Launch App" button to begin your Data Layer journey.

  3. Add Your Dapp:

    • Click on the "+" icon next to "Your Dapps" to create a new application.
    • Give your Dapp a unique name, such as "Test App."
    • The portal will generate an "Access Token" for your Dapp. Save this token as you will need it for interactions with data streams, subscribing, publishing, and building your backend or frontend. You can also download it as a .txt file for convenience.
    • After confirming that you've saved the "Access Token," click on "Register Dapp."
    • Note: Every time you create a new Dapp, you'll need to approve the transaction via your wallet.

  4. Add Data Streams:

    • Click on the "Add Stream" button to begin subscribing to the data streams you're interested in.
    • Choose the streams that suit your needs and subscribe to them.
    • Paste your "Access Token" to confirm the subscription and approve the transaction on your wallet.

  5. Preview Your Data Streams:

    • Click on "Preview" to get a sneak peek at your subscribed data streams.

  6. Quick Start - Building Your Backend:

    • Pick your preferred programming language to start building the backend of your Dapp.
    • We support various languages for seamless integration.
